Hello!
Well we had another snow day this week that was kind of unexpected. Luckily, the kids do not need to make any of the days we have missed so far. We used our last calamity day the state has provided us with yesterday, making a total of 12 days missed due to weather! I don’t know about you all, but I am ready for spring!
This week we read our book, Divergent; studied about the Rio Carnival, and tomorrow are making some delicious ice cream floats!
Next week we are celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday by reading about him and his many books! Friday we will end the fun filled week by watching one of the Dr. Seuss book-based movies, The Lorax, Green Eggs and Ham, or Horton Hears a Who and possibly making a festive snack! The entire week should be very fun and enjoyable for everyone. (Dr. Seuss is one of my favorites) J
I used our snow day yesterday to put the finishing touches on the class website! There are tons of pictures, a schedule of upcoming events, the weekly letter is posted on the site, a poll for input on different things going on at school, fun educational websites for kids to use, as well as my contact information and a quick form to complete if you need to get in contact with me that goes straight to my email.
Here is the URL for it: http://rockhillmiddlemc-marasek.weebly.com/
I have also asked to have a link put on the Rock Hill website for easy access under Middle School and then click Academics and a link will be beside my name. It shouldn’t take long to put on Rock Hill’s website for easy access. I will try and keep it updated as best as possible for everyone to stay up-to-date!
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the week and has a fantastic weekend!
